Calculation of Carbon Footprint for Bursa Organized Industrial Zone Services Project
The activities of the Bursa Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) have been carried out to determine, evaluate, and report the greenhouse gas emissions resulting from these activities. The study encompasses direct and indirect emissions resulting from energy consumption, fuel use, water supply, wastewater treatment, solid waste management, and transportation activities conducted within the OIZ boundaries. Within the scope of the project, carbon footprint calculations were made based on internationally accepted methodologies (ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol), emission sources were identified, and carbon reduction potentials were analyzed. Additionally, recommendations were developed for carbon management and sustainability strategies.
Within the scope of this project, the following services have been provided by our personnel:
Collection and evaluation of energy, fuel, water, wastewater, and waste data related to Bursa OIZ activities,
Identification of direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2 and Scope 3) greenhouse gas emission sources,
Determination of emission factors and calculation of carbon footprint,
Preparation of greenhouse gas inventory in accordance with international standards (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol),
Conducting emission density analyses and identifying reduction opportunities,
Development of recommendations for carbon management, energy efficiency, and sustainability strategies,
Preparation of the Final Carbon Footprint Report
