Development of Resilience Strategies for Manisa to Prepare for the Effects of Climate Change
This project aims to develop resilience strategies to enhance the resilience of the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality against the current and future impacts of climate change. It aims to conduct comprehensive analyses that assess Manisa's climate change risks, vulnerability areas, disaster impacts, and adaptation capacity; and to identify strategic goals, adaptation actions, and priority intervention areas accordingly.
As part of this project, the following services have been provided by our personnel:
Analysis of existing environmental data, climate projections, disaster records, and socio-economic indicators to determine the impacts of climate change in the province of Manisa.
Revealing the vulnerability profiles of the city; conducting risk assessments in thematic areas such as water management, agriculture, ecosystems, energy, transportation, infrastructure, and public health.
Developing strategic goals and objectives for climate change adaptation and resilience; identifying short, medium, and long-term adaptation actions.
Hold meetings with municipal units and stakeholder institutions to evaluate the existing capacity, needs, and implementation possibilities.
Preparation of a monitoring-evaluation framework, performance indicators, and action plans for the implementation of the strategies.
Creation of the Manisa Climate Resilience Strategy document by compiling all analyses, evaluations, and strategy components defined in the technical specifications.
Ensuring coordination with the control organization throughout the project period, timely delivery of reports, and conducting the work in accordance with the methods specified in the contract.
