Preparation of the Feasibility Report for the Capacity Increase of Gönen Leather OIZ WWTP and Water Recovery Facility
This project aims to more effectively treat the wastewater with high flow rates and high pollution loads originating from the leather processing facilities operating within the Gönen Leather Organized Industrial Zone, by evaluating the capacity increase of the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant and the feasibility of establishing a water recovery facility. As part of the study, the process performance of the existing WTP will be analyzed, and scenarios of increased flow rates and pollution loads will be evaluated, while capacity increase options in terms of technical and economic aspects will be examined for future needs. Additionally, alternative processes for the recovery and reuse of treated water will be evaluated using advanced treatment technologies; a feasibility report will be prepared regarding the investment, operation, and maintenance costs of the facility.
Within the scope of this project, the following services will be provided by our personnel:
Evaluation of the capacity, performance, and process efficiency of the existing WWTP,
Analysis of the current and future wastewater flow rates and pollution loads in the OIZ,
Technical and economic examination of different process and unit configurations for capacity increase,
Comparison of advanced treatment alternatives for water recovery (e.g., filtration, UF, NF, RO, etc.),
Determination of quality requirements for the areas of use of the reclaimed water,
Conceptual design, equipment needs, and process flow diagrams for capacity increase and recovery unit,
Calculation of investment, operating, and maintenance costs, and preparation of the economic feasibility,
Preparation of a feasibility report that includes all technical evaluations, analyses, and recommendations, and submission to the employer{
