The Technical Support and Supervision Project of the New North Nicosia Main Sewerage Network
The purpose of the project is to provide technical support and supervision during the pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases for the construction of the Northern Nicosia Main Sewerage Network (NNTS) Nicosia branch, consisting of approximately 13 km of sewerage and four pumping stations. The main sections of the sewer will be built in riverbeds, and it is anticipated that trenchless techniques will be used to cross several bridges. Additionally, the project includes the rehabilitation of the Pedieos/Kanlidere River and its surroundings to ensure safety. The Pedieos/Kanlidere River Rehabilitation project involves the design and construction of a bicycle path along the river, based on geographical and topographical studies. This project requires technical assistance and supervision services to ensure that the wastewater infrastructure works financed by the European Union are designed, constructed, and commissioned on time and without cost overruns, in accordance with the relevant technical specifications and requirements. All activities during the pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases, along with the reports submitted, commissioning, and testing procedures, will be monitored and inspected until the completion of the project.
Description of the actual services provided by your personnel within the scope of the task:
• Supervise the construction of the Project implemented under FIDIC "Red Book" contract conditions:
o Pre-Bid Activities and Kick-off
o Supervision During the Construction Phase
o Check and approve quality assurance procedures,
o Approve the contractor's preliminary presentations, review insurance policies,
o Approve the contractor's Preliminary Design Report
o Approve the contractor's Detailed Design Report
o Approve any hydraulic models used to assess construction in riverbeds
o Approve the Pre and Final Design Reports of the Pedieos/Kanlidere River rehabilitation Project
o Review and approve the contractor's works for compliance with technical specifications
• Information management and reporting:
o Preparation of the site inspection guide,
o Preparation of financial control procedures guide,
o Preparation of quality assurance file and guide,
o Preparation of completion reports
• Technical support during the tender, contract, and implementation phases of the Project:
o Provide support to the client during the evaluation of tenders,
o Provide support to the client during negotiation procedures,
o Review the design of the work before implementation,
o Provide a second opinion based on technical specifications,
• Audit Rectification of Deficiencies
• Witness Post-Completion Tests
• Certification Final Payment Work Contract
• Additional activities/additional time for extension of works
