The modernization of the Tüpraş İzmit Refinery PLT-19/21 wastewater treatment unit, gap analysis, and determination of new process technology.
This project involves the evaluation of the current performance of the PLT-19/21 Wastewater Treatment Unit within the Tüpraş İzmit Refinery, identifying process deficiencies (gap analysis), and determining the necessary new process technologies for modernization. Within the scope of the study, the process flow of the existing treatment unit, unit capacities, equipment performance, pollution removal efficiencies, and operational parameters will be analyzed. Wastewater characterization will be evaluated according to the production processes in the refinery; advanced treatment, oil-water separation, chemical treatment, membrane technologies, and biological treatment options will be examined from technical and economic perspectives. The most suitable technology combinations to meet the modernization needs will be determined, and technical solution proposals for improving the plant's performance, increasing energy efficiency, and meeting environmental requirements will be prepared.
Within the scope of this project, the following services will be provided by our personnel:
Analysis of the processes, equipment, and operational data of the existing PLT-19/21 Wastewater Treatment Unit,
Extraction of wastewater characterization and assessment of load increases due to changes in production processes,
Conducting a gap analysis to identify deficiencies and improvement needs in the existing system,
Technical and economic evaluation of new process technologies that may be suitable for modernization,
Comparison of alternative unit arrangements, primarily advanced treatment and oil-water separation technologies,
Development of solution proposals aimed at increasing energy efficiency and reducing operating costs,
Determining the conceptual design and technical requirements of the processes to be implemented within the scope of modernization,
Preparation of a technical report including all evaluations, analyses, and proposals, to be submitted to the employer.
