Sustainable Cities Project – Component A: Consultancy Services for the Preparation of Integrated Urban Water Management Plans for Selected Cities Group 3 (Balıkesir)

The Sustainable Cities Project (SCP) is implemented by the Municipalities Bank (ILBANK) and the World Bank (WB) to support metropolitan municipalities in making investments and developing plans for a sustainable water management future. The project is carried out under the Sustainable Cities Program II, supported by World Bank financing and ILBANK's coordination of training activities. The general goal of the project is to develop an innovative and integrated planning approach that will ensure the sustainable management of water and sanitation services in Balıkesir and to enhance access to improved water supply and sanitation services. The specific objectives of the project are as follows: Identifying water and sanitation infrastructure needs, Developing an Integrated Urban Water Management (IUWM) Strategy for Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality, Preparing the IUWM Plan for the selected area, Conducting capacity-building activities for Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality and relevant stakeholders to implement sustainable water and sanitation services. As part of SCP Component A Group-3; consultancy services will be provided for the preparation of Integrated Urban Water Management Plans for the cities of Balıkesir, Denizli, and Ordu.
