Preparation of the Feasibility Report for Increasing the Capacity of the Alaşehir Factory Wastewater Treatment Plant for Alcoholic Beverages
This project involves the preparation of a feasibility study aimed at determining capacity increase and process improvement options due to the increase in wastewater quantity resulting from the transfer of stills and production lines from Mey Alkollü İçkiler A.Ş.’s Tekirdağ and Kilis factories to the Alaşehir Factory, which exceeds the current capacity of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Within the scope of the project, changes in the wastewater flow and pollution loads received by the Alaşehir Factory Wastewater Treatment Plant have been evaluated, taking into account performance issues experienced during periods when the capacity of the existing facility, designed for 950 m³/day, was exceeded, and future capacity increase scenarios have been discussed. Additionally, considering the planned increase in the number of additional Suma columns and stills to be brought into operation in the upcoming production seasons, the aim is to identify the most suitable treatment process that targets maximum biogas production and minimum sludge formation, compatible with the existing system.
As part of this project, our personnel has provided the following services:
Evaluation of changes in wastewater flow and pollution profile caused by the relocated stills at the Alaşehir Factory,
Analysis of existing operational data belonging to the Alaşehir Factory Wastewater Treatment Plant and assessment of unit-equipment performances,
Determination of additional analysis needs and presentation of the analysis program to the employer,
Identification of the need for capacity increase considering the current performances of the facility units,
Technical evaluation of feasible treatment technology alternatives that will meet discharge limits and achieve the targeted removal efficiency,
Selection of the most suitable process alternative for capacity increase in accordance with technical and cost criteria,
Development of approaches for facility-generated sludge quantity and characterization and identification of the most suitable sludge management system,
Preparation of conceptual design for the selected treatment technology,
Creation of process report and equipment list,
Preparation of general layout plans, general piping plans, process flow diagrams, and P&I diagrams,
Preparation of hydraulic diagrams and evaluation of the system from a hydraulic perspective,
Technical examination of recovery alternatives for the reuse of treated wastewater,
Calculation of initial investment costs and operating expenses for the selected alternative,
Preparation of conceptual design drawings that will form the basis for cost calculations,
