Preparation of Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) for the Kahramanmaraş Pazarcık Kartalkaya Dam Irrigation Renovation Construction Project
This project has been implemented within the scope of the Turkey Water Cycle and Efficiency Improvement Project (TWCEIP), carried out by the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSI) and Iller Bankası A.Ş. (İLBANK) with financing from the World Bank. In the context of the contract numbered TWCEIP-B1-DAN-06, which was procured by the World Bank using the Consultant’s Qualifications Selection (CQS) method, an Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) has been prepared for the project related to the renewal of the irrigation of the Kahramanmaraş Pazarcık Kartalkaya Dam, in accordance with the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Framework (ESF).
Under this project, the following services have been provided by our staff:
Assessment of the current environmental and social conditions related to the project area,
Conducting field studies and stakeholder participation meetings,
Conducting impact assessment and risk evaluations in accordance with the World Bank's Environmental and Social Standards (ESS),
Identification of potential environmental and social impacts and development of mitigation measures,
Preparation of environmental and social monitoring plans,
Definition of corporate responsibilities and implementation regulations,
Preparation and submission of the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) report to the administration.
