Mathematical Modeling of Drinking Water Treatment Plant Processes Research and Development Project
Within the scope of this project, the goal is to design and construct a scaled-down pilot facility of the Büyükçekmece Drinking Water Treatment Plant at a scale of 1/10,000 and to operate it in parallel with the full-scale facility. The aim of the project is to determine easily measurable, reliable parameters that are effective in evaluating the performance of units in conventional drinking water treatment plants, and to create mathematical models through these parameters. By using the data obtained for each treatment process, mathematical models have been developed, thus ensuring the facility operates efficiently under various operational conditions and establishing a scientific infrastructure that will facilitate process management for the operating personnel.
Within the scope of this project, engineering activities such as the design of the pilot facility, planning of construction and mechanical systems, selection of process units, and creation of the layout have been carried out by our staff.
Additionally, services have been provided for the commissioning of the pilot facility, monitoring of experimental operating processes, sampling and conducting laboratory analyses, and collecting and evaluating process performance data.
Based on the obtained data, studies have been conducted to develop mathematical models for each purification unit, analyze the model results, and compare them with actual facility operating data.
