Preparation of a Feasibility Report for Electricity Generation from the Landfill Gases Composed of Fethiye, Marmaris, and Ortaca Solid Waste Regular Storage Facilities
Fethiye, Marmaris, and Ortaca, located within the borders of Muğla province, are part of the feasibility studies aimed at utilizing the landfill gases generated in the Solid Waste Regular Storage Facilities for energy production. Within the scope of the project, the gas generation potential of the existing storage areas has been determined, and suitable technological alternatives have been examined for the collection, transportation, and transfer of the generated methane gas to the energy production system.
As part of this project, our personnel have provided the following services:
· Collection and evaluation of existing situation data related to the regular storage areas in Fethiye, Marmaris, and Ortaca,
· Determination of the amounts of landfill gas formation and calculations related to the gas collection system,
· Comparison of different energy production technologies (gas engine, micro turbine, etc.) in terms of technical and economic aspects,
· Calculation of energy production capacity and payback periods for each facility,
· Conducting investment, operation, and maintenance cost analyses,
· Preparation of a feasibility report including technical, economic, and environmental assessments,
Analysis of environmental impacts and development of recommendations for sustainable energy use.
