Diyarbakır Dam Basin Protection Plan and Special Provision Determination Project
The main purpose of the project is to protect, improve, prevent pollution, and ensure the sustainable use of the natural regime of the Tigris Dam and its basins, which are used to supply drinking water to Diyarbakır. Within the scope of the project, the social, economic, physical, geological, hydrogeological, hydrological, hydromorphological, ecological, and chemical characteristics of the reservoir and surface water sources feeding the dam lake and regulator have been determined based on scientific data. As part of the project, integrated system modeling and scenario analysis studies have been conducted to prepare a conservation plan and set special provisions for the specific basin.
