Feasibility Report and Environmental Management Plan Preparation for the Wastewater Treatment Plant of Turgutreis and Akyarlar Neighborhoods in Bodrum District
The feasibility report for the treatment of the current and future wastewater amounts of the neighborhoods of Turgutreis and Akyarlar, which are connected to the Bodrum district of Muğla province, and the preparation of the environmental management plan are included. Within the scope of the project, the current infrastructure status of the region has been assessed, population and wastewater projections have been created, and alternative treatment technologies have been analyzed. The most suitable treatment process has been identified, and a solution proposal that is economically, technically, and environmentally feasible has been developed. Additionally, an Environmental Management Plan has been prepared to reduce the environmental impacts of the project and ensure sustainability; possible environmental impacts, preventive measures, and monitoring programs have been defined within the plan.
In this project, the following services have been provided by our staff:
· Collection and evaluation of demographic, topographic, and existing infrastructure data related to the region,
· Examination of existing wastewater systems and analysis of the current situation,
· Preparation of population growth and flow projections,
· Characterization of wastewater and determination of pollution loads,
· Conducting capacity calculations and process selection studies for treatment facilities,
· Comparison of alternative treatment technologies from technical and economic perspectives,
· Conducting feasibility analyses and calculating investment–operating costs,
· Evaluation of environmental impacts and preparation of the Environmental Management Plan,
· Reporting, creation of technical documentation, and presentation of project outputs to the client.
